Difference between Bipolar junction transistor and Unipolar junction transistor.

              a)    Bipolar junction transistors has both majority charge carriers and minority charge carriers                         while Unipolar junction transistor has only one type of charge carrier(majority).

             b)    Bipolar junction transistor is a current controlled device while unipolar junction transistor is a                     voltage controlled device.

            c)    BJT has low input impedance while unipolar transistor   has high input impedance.

            d)    BJT has a high gain while unipolar junction transistor have low-medium gain.

            e)    BJT has a low thermal stability while unipolar junction transistor has a high thermal stability.

            f)    BJT consumes more power compared with unipolar junction transistor which consumes less                         power.

            g)    BJT is preferred in low current application while    unipolar junction transistors is preferred in                     low voltage application.
